is it? i heard VW have compressers so its more fuel efficient.... just that it doesnt give as much power as turbo.......

same thing, although a kommpressor in a Mercedes is a supercharger! The VW is probably running lower boost to aid driveability, not everybody is a racer!

turbo's are powered by the exhaust gas velocity. superchargers are powered by a belt and pulley system. if you want more info goto www.howstuffworks.com and search for turbos and superchargers.
