stupid shifter

Ok this is my first time on the site and i love it i recently bought a 92 mx-3 gs and i have a problem the shifter keeps falling to the ground how do i fix it, and i would also like to know if anyone knows and the cheapest and best struts to go with my new apex springs i bought?
