Mx-3 gave me too much fun to drive and gave me two speeding tickets before.

The first one was on the trip to St. Loius, Missouri. Damn cop following me near the exit on the interstate, and I, don't know why, but speeded on the ramp just because I almost ran out of gas and was too happy to have found a gas station.

The second one was, sort of, because of my ex-girl friend cheated on me. I was so desperate on something and driving 95 on 35 zone. Police caught me and set up the court date for that with a ticket. I made decent excuse at the court and cost me about $300.

There is nothing good to get tickets. It just raises insurance rate like crazy and easily double that or like twice more than the guys without tickets. I also bumped into my professor's car in the same year, and the insurance cost me $800 for a half year with a state minimum on just liability coverage when my friend driving similar car pays about $200 for a half year. Again, driving is fun, but got to be careful, or cost you later.

Man the cost of living is insane!!! I actually have no idea how people are getting by. To own a car costs so so so much, you have to pay taxes on it, get it insured, registered, the cost of your licence, then theres repairs and gas and finally on top of it all tickets. Ohh and dont forget the initial cost of the car. I dont know how people are doing it. Then there is the price to live somewhere and pay the heat light and cable, And all this is just to get you by. You also have to buy things like food for yourself and if youre lucky you might have enough left over to see a movie once and a while. I am telling you guys it is madness. No job at sobeys is going to get you any kind of decent lifestyle. :p

got my first ticket this morning :( ...damn

i was soooo late for work because i had to drive all the way back home to get something i needed, and trafic thru town was NOT HELPING. i work at the airport, so the roads are empty and big (long straightaways, etc)... i as doin probably 70+ in a 40mph zone :freak: cuz it was like 5 min til work started. then i spot the lights ontop of this car hella far behind me, and its like AHHH!! female cop.. she was cool, gave me a 55+ in a 40 so i could go to trafic school and get it off my insurance! hehe.. and she actually knew i was flyin cuz she said she clocked me at 62mph with my brake lights on he he he...

but i'm still pissed about it. driving so slow now.. gonna concentrate on my cosmetic mods, because the car is fast enuff haha

68 in a 35(long open road and didn't know the speedlimit). I was 16 at the time(19 now). The judge reduced my ticket to 19 over instead of 33 over since it was my first ticket and also had to go to driving school the following saturday.

I've been followed by police from my house to burger king, waited for me to leave the drive thru, and then follow me back home before. That is one downside of having a decent looking car.

No speeding tickets yet but my radar dectector has saved my *** many times.
Just yesterday I almost got caught for doing 140kph in a 50kph zone. Had enough warning to slow down to 55 just before I passed the stealth cop sitting behind a little hill on the side of the road.

I live in ontario and they are illegal here...just becareful because most (specially cheap old ones) can be detected. Also unless it's a tiny wireless one (PNI silverbullet) don't use it in town because it's visible.
beware of Spectre. heh

I got pulled over for going 27 in a 25 on post here. They only gave me a warning but MPs don't play now... They will pull you over in a heartbeat
Other than that I've only been pulled over two times and asked for my ID. The (MPs once again) thought I had *stolen* the car and was too young to drive it...

well ill say this, ive had my license now for a lil over 2 weeks... 21 y/o late bloomer, yea yea. i aint got it yet, but i agree with cops swarming us. like tonite, i stopped at store near my work to get a drink, i pull into the parking lot and there a squad SUV sitting in the lot. i go inside and some young cop, probably 26 fresh outta prep school, starts eyein me, looks outside and goes "so, what kinda car is that?" "Mazda MX-3" "How fast can she go" im thinkin to myself yea right buddy... "Dont know yet, havent broken it in yet" he jus grins and walks off. so i cash out, dudes still eyein me, so get in my car and head back to work. HE FOLLOWED ME THE WHOLE WAY. i hate when people profile.... nothing ticks me off more. saw 4 more squad cars on my way home after i got out... thank god my buddy hadnt left when i did, he has a VW GTi... one hella fast car, and we usually speed down the road our work is on, 2 of the cops i saw were on that road, so yea, lol. thats my 2 cents in this post

Dammit, jsut after I brag about being pulled over twice and not getting any tickets, I get pulled over. It was Thursday morning, 1:30AM and a cop pulled me over for speeding. I was going 85 in a 65 zone. He wrote me a ticket and I got a misdemeanor for driving with an expired license. I kept waiting for him to say "April Fool's!", but he never did. My license doesnt have an expiration date, thats how I got it from the dmv, but he said it was expired. How am I supposed to know that its expired if there is no expiration date? I asked my dad who is a cop and he said the dmv would send me something in the mail telling me to renew it if I had to.

Iv had about 8 or 9 tickets,(lost count) over 10 years, I average 1 a year, I had 3 for accident related and the rest were speeding. only been convicted on 3 speeding tickets.

In about 2 months I will only have 1 ticket on my record.

If a cop ever followed me around like some of you guys, I would get out and talk to him. see what he wants and why he is following you. They will usually just be nice and then leave you alone.

As for the "no TV in the car" there is a diff between a monitor and a TV. as many cars come with Navigation screens and they are legal.

as well police cars have large computer monitors in them. but if they catch you watching TV on your monitor they may beable to give you a ticket.

the best way to avoid tickets is to stop speeding and driving like an *** .
