supra inspired kit on our MX? Possible?
I've always wanted the AB Flug S900 supra kit, but well , i dont have a supra and way to much bones for the kit I think. I started thinking about the shape of the car and our cars, and its sorta close. so I wanted to know if anyone out there is interested in having something very close to this.

here is the pic of my car so far with some of my parts on it and some photoshop work.
http://www.madcapinc.com/other/f.jpg
the design works on the front of the cars, trust me, i've reworked my kit and id prolly add more accents as im working on it, i'm half way done the wide fenders and hood. Its a struggle to make them look cool, but at the same time i cant hanve them stick out too much away from the wheel well and outside of the wheel. The side well, thats the biggest challenge, and im doing a 3D rendering to test what the best way of doing it,whether its worth it. I don't want it to stick out and i dont want to cut into the doors. So..
I'm going to be working on the side door panelling over winter. I hope this whole thing to be done by april. And the molds should be done before May. I'm thinking of taking my existing side skirts and working on top of them to make the entire sharp line across the car and morph into the air dam.
There is a process to set up and create molds which I'd have to follow, which would be longer than if i were to make it only for myself, so i'd like to know if people out there would be interested in any of these parts
Wide Side fenders, front bumper, hood or even the entire side air dam skirt..
I don't know about the prices. Since average price seems to be $400+ Canadian , i'd decide when my parts came out. I'd basically want to brake even on the time and materials and paying someone to help me with this.
I also found a way to make the bumpers much stronger by placing a special galvanized pipe metal in between the 2 layers of fibreglass resulting in little more weight, but but more stronger result. Meaning if you scrape to hard or hit anywhere on the lip or certain parts of the kit it wouldnt brake or shatter, it would simply chip. In theory that is. This would be approximately $80-100 more to fabricate into the kit itself i think.
anyways, anyone interested or offer feedback..ket me know

very cool. sounds like a great idea and i can't wait to see the final product. i doubt you'll have much problem selling a kit like that. good luck.

if this is the kit for the supra your talking about, and you only plan on making the front end/fenders/hood im not entirely sure how great that would look on our car... it might make the front end stick out more, im not knocking your idea by all means another kit would be really cool. Im just not sure how this would look on our car espically since i know a few guys who dont like this kit on the supra itself. but like i said im not knocking your idea if you can make it work than i cant wait to see the final results.

the mx3 would look awsome with a spoiler like that, how it moulds into the whole rear end.

Re: supra inspired kit on our MX? Possible?
ya thats the kit.
I was going to try to do something like that for my GTR wing, but thats only after i have the sides and front finished.
I'd still like to know who'd consider purchasing just the front, oppose to the entire kit.
I'm defientely doing to do somethign with the sides, just not sure how i'll do it. I'll post some sketches later in the week, maybe you guys can comment .

Re: supra inspired kit on our MX? Possible?
if you're goin widebody, make the whole car widebody.
have the rear fenders flare out the same as the fronts so it matches! the air scoops in the sides dont necessarilly need to be added, but you definitely would have to flare the whole body and not just the front. but that front bumper looks a LOT like a drift front! (near the bottom)... i bet u could mold that into it and make it look pretty sick
good luck

Re: supra inspired kit on our MX? Possible?
that's what i've started with, im using the drift as a starting point , i am making the whole body wide. Just not sure how much it can all flare out before looking like it's being squeezed from the bottom and plumped at the top.
I definetely want the air dams though, so that's where I'll struggle.

lol....you'll spend a few million grand getting that kit to look good on a mX3
an alternative would be to have veilside come out with a kit for the MX3.......(its worth a shot!) all of their kits look amazing.

Seems to resemble a first gen Tiburon to me.

That's a sweet look, but you've got some work cut out for you, especially with those doors. I'm really anxious to see what happens here.

Oh yeah, I have a stock ATX 92 RS too.
