Carbon Roof

Post by MikeUK »

Not sure which topic this belongs in.

Has any one seen the new BMW M3(The newer faster one, not the standard M3). It has been made with a carbon fiber roof. This took a lot of weight off the car and it performs hell of a lot better too, with an increased 0-60 time also. Would be good for you 1/4 milers.

A paint that looks like carbon fiber?

Wow, if that exists I'm surprised you don't see it over here in North America. Seems like people want to copy everything JDM these days.

I don't see why you'd want a CF roof for 1/4 mile times. Removing weight from above is only going to help lower the center of gravity even more on the car, making it handle much better.

Thats the reason they did it I'm sure, I doubt BMW gives a crap about 1/4 mile times as much as the stuff that actually matters like handling.
