I seriously hope that the owner of that car doesn't ever drive that car on the road. He has created two safety issues, first being the t-top weakens the structural integrity of the car. Second the hatch on the car is usually designed to absorb some impact in a rollover. While also providing some absorbtion in the rear during a rear impact accident. So now you remove the integrity of the roof and the safety provide by the hatch (granted not much but still some) and you have a car that isnt exaclty safe for road conditions.

Hi, no the body kit is custom made from Illusion Auto Sound located near montreal, quebec. They also created this rear hatch body kit and they sell it cheaper than onderground. Here is their contact informations :

977, Langlois, Valleyfield, 450-377-0666 (Éric Malboeuf)

Here is some of their original picture with the rear hatch painted :

;) I already received my spoiler last week to fit perfectly on this hatch and it will also all be molded to it. Here is a pic :

Here is how my car project will look when its gonna be done :

Please note that my headlights will be converted to 3 beams civic 2000 (got them last week). And will be molded to my front bumper. The whole body kit is already in my basement. Waiting for the delsol hatch, fiberglass scorpion Z3 fenders and hood right now and I also ordered Z3 side mirrors which will be custom molded to the car.

Just by replacing the rear hatch, hood & fenders... will save more than 80 - 100 lbs on the car. I also realy like the look of it. But I guess it depend of everyone tastes...

The mx3 with the regular hatch and this new hatch remind me the old vette around 76 - 80. Which depending the years sometimes they had the straight rear window like this, and the latest years they had the bubble type...

I dont think this is less safe than with a rear window... Both use the same frame anyway, the rear body kit is simply glued to the rear hatch (window removed). So other than the T-TOPS I dont think there is any safety issues...

hrm...i assume that you will NOT be able to open the cover, like the hatch did.

they should have showed it on a more stock-appearing car, and perhaps with a less extreme paint job. i think it would look cool, and definately be original. but with that wide body kit, and those stock rims...it reminds me of some sort of mini-me truck.

show me a pic without the wide body, and ill prob be interested in it ;)

yeah its pretty easy to install, and yes the hatch open like before since its only glued on the factory hatch (window removed) and the whole thing is more than 50% lighter.

Who did you called? Onderground or Auto Illusion?
