Doors Fabric Paint

Post by Kapp00 »

Hey,
THis has been posted before, i know that it covers alot of people ripping the door material off and painting that, and or fibreglass resin the doors and paint over it... which is much time consuming. I've found a fabric paint not sure how it may even work or how good it will look.... or is there any other alternatives to change the color of the door pad inserts....
also using Dupont Dye on the door and inside panels just finishing up with the rest of the dyno mat and redying the inside panels again but want the door all one color just wondering how to get the door pads a different color..
without preforming the steps above.
thanks
Nick

I think the consensus is that its a waste of time trying to paint/dye the existing fabric. It takes ALOT of paint to change the current color to another color and what you'd end up with is a very coarse material that wouldnt look good anyway.

I second that. Take the time to remove the fabric. Half assed jobs show
