idle problem

Post by 93mxgs03 »

Ok, here's the problem, whenever i stop my car my engine revs itself between about 800 to 1000 rpms as if i was lightly touching the accelerator. This happens whenever the clutch it in or when the car is in neutral and is really starting to piss me off  . Please help.

Does your check engine light ever come on at all?
If it does I would check your codes.Maybe a bad sensor somewhere, or just a bad connection. Our cars are known to do this, mine does it to. Got code 16 on the computer, EGR valve position sensor or something with EGR...need to check my connectors.....

If your temp needle is going up when at idle and back down when you're driving it could be a broken radiator.
