Re: "AIR INTAKE MOD"
its where u stick a resistor in your intake sensor.. pretty stupid since it will **** up your engine, BUT it does give u a lil more powa haha (since i tried it on my last car coz i was bored) you will be screechin through gears.. but no dont do it coz it aint good.

Re: "AIR INTAKE MOD"
The validity of this mod is arguable but in reality its not safe to do pending what climate you live in. ie i live in texas and have to run 104 octane booster during summer because of my timing advance...
Its a waste to but it off ebay give its a 10 cent part from radio shack

Re: "AIR INTAKE MOD"
How can this mod $%#@ up your engine, they say it just tricks the Air Intake Sensor into sending the reading that the air going into motor is cold at all times. In turn, Ecu will advance timing to compensate/run better. Seeing as how we want to bring cold air into our engines, and advancing the timing has been known to improve performance as well. I don't see how the resistor would mess up your engine, unless it would be within the cars ECU/Electrical system.
Re: "AIR INTAKE MOD"
When you here that pining noise coming from your motor just ignore it.. its all safe really.
I live in a climate where temps reach 100+ during the summer(heat index ughh its insane) with the timing being too far advanced my motor will ping.
