I have searched high and low for some grill thats under 5 bucks... I looked at gutter mesh and all this other grill but couldnt find what I was looking for. I really wan tto do this as well

I plan to do the same with cutting that middle piece out. Looks a lot better to me with it out.

haha, that is exactly how I did mine. The only thing is I left the supports in there and put a tiny gauge wire to fasten it to the supports. Just so it doesn't ripple ya know. :shrug: nice write-up tho.

He probably saw this on Eric Gudbrandson's website, it unbelieveable that its still up, probably been 5 years now.

Ya, but he put the screen in front so if you don't care about the structure as you said, then the new grill will cover up the two holes where the support bar used to be. You won't be able to see it from the outside of the car.
