I´m gonna paint my taillights...but it seems impossible

Post by appe »

Hi!
I just took out three screws from my taillight and I thought it was enough to take the taillight away from the car but no...it is still there and I saw that there is one screw that is without holes so I assume I must leave it to mazda-serviceman who got the right tools for it??? How did you guys do?

That 'special' tool you are talking about is called a screwdriver. You have to pull the light AWAY from the center hatch lock (take's a fair bit of force).

easy way to do it..
Lets say your standing beside the drivers side tallights, looking at it from the side of the car... Its slides toward you. The passenger side, put it towards that side of the car.

Yeah,
Dont use a screwdriver on your paint!!
Like Barry said, the way to do it is shift the light towards the side of the car its on.
Driver side : Shift toward left
Passenger side: Shift toward Right
