Real HID's

I just got Real HID's from a Lexus IS 300 with the computer to run them aswell <BR>I have a couple questions <P>are there suppose to hummm<P>can I run my car with out headlights if I pull the fuse or something like that <BR>I want to run them off a seperate relay<P>No DRL and no high beam oh well

you are supposed to run them with a relay....<BR>if you look at the HId conversionkits<BR>it comes with a relay<P><BR>jason

there should be a head light fuse under the hood or under the dash that you can pull.

I need a suggestion on how to keep the "computer" dry, it looks some what like a hard drive <P>It 5 inches by 3 1/4 inches by 3/4 of an inch steel box and I need to keep it dry<P>Thanks

If the box dosen't heat up, I would just wrap it up in a plastic bag and silicone the bag closed.<P>if the box dose heat up, then I would just silicone all the openings closed and keep the box somewhere it will keep cool.

They have boxes in their electronics section. I think they're called Project Boxes. I don't know how big, but they are a hard plastic. Maybe get one of those that will fit your metal box and velcro it in so it don't rattle around. Drill holes so the wires can come out, and use rubber gromets to keep it water tight. If you can't find one I can look at my local radio shack for one. If not, then maybe build a box out of fiberglass or something. Good luck bro.

UPDATE!<P>there In <BR>what I did to the "box" is I hot glued the seams to make it water tight but I might try something else<P><BR>Hole $hit they are bright but the best part is the warm up they turn yellow for a second then purple for maybe 3 seconds the then white with a purple tingh to them

All I have to say after seeing them last week in person is "Wow!" those things are crazy bright. They hurt my eyes when I was looking at them close, LOL<P>This is definately a cool mod to do but expensive.
