Red side markers and turn signals
I have no money to spend on clears (even if they look nice), so I would like to make them blaze red (like my car). What's the best way of doing this if I still want the light to be amber?
thanx

Re: Red side markers and turn signals
there is no way without buying clears, unless you know some other way of making the color yellow red

Re: Red side markers and turn signals
I just finished painting my corners, side markers and tail lights red with a product called VHT translucent Metal Tint coating ($13.99Can) and they turned out Great! You could maybe find this at Canadian Tire or your local performance store. After you use this stuff you have to put on a clear coat.
Good luck finding a color match paint that is translucent. You would have to get a paint shop to custom mix a pint and get a spray balm ( $40-$80max) and if you're willing to spend that you might as well just get clears. Good Luck and I hope I've been of some help.

Is it a must to paint it on the outside? Has anyone tried to paint the inside? Pictures?

Is there any material (other than paint) that I could use?

Re: Red side markers and turn signals
What I did, before I painted them, is get some vinyl and cut out arrows pointing in the direction, left and right, and placed the vinyl over the corners. That way you could still get vinyl that colour matches and when you put on your turn signal the arrows will light up. Alas, they will still light up orange.
