why altezzas?

Post by david103 »

i'm sorry i have to do this, but it's bugging me badly. altezza/euro style taillights are plain ugly. people modify their taillights JUST to modify them. red-out looks sooo much better and is cheaper. if you want altezza taillights, please, go buy an IS300. i know its the new 'style' but not all new things are good. so go ahead send your hate-reply's, but after you do, go look at the civics on the road with plasticky, pink lights, and ask yourself if you want other people making fun of you.
sorry, but it must be said.
dave

i agree, but to each his own. i like the look of the all red tails, but i also like how my friends black eclipse looks with the carbon fiber altezza's. it's all a matter of taste and no 2 people will share the same.

actually, it's not wasting your money because for around 100.00, you don't waste it, you spend it on altezzas. duh...plus i suggest no altezzas for the mx3. if i were to change the tails, i would just make them euro...depending on what color my car is.

if i was going to do a custom install i would go with jdm supra lights. in my opinion altezzas are played. you could cruise around town with your altezzas and play your macarena cd on repeat :D just playin. i personally don't like them at all. but that's what makes people different...opinions and taste. but why spend extra money to fabricate something so you can look just like everyone else? true, not many mx's have altezzas, but not many people outside the mx community know they aren't made for the mx...so you would just blend in. just my .02

I was just wondering. Didn't some of the people that just mentioned in this post that they didn't want altezzas and say they are rice or played out, but isn't it true that you guys wanted them at one time and said they would be sweet. Isn't also true that a few of you also e-mailed a couple of company's to custom make some for your car. I think you guys should not hate on the altezza's; who knows maybe one day in the future when you get a new car or something you'll most likely have a set of altezza's. Here's a old chinese saying "if you can't say anything nice then don't say it at all".

well i dont install it just to look plain, real mx3 people and other people that know cars would know how nice it is to have custom install, especially auto body men like me that know how to do it, cars are customized not for fools or momma's boys...they're made for people that know difference.( prelude altezzas are nice.'97 year)

i used to be a large advocater of the altezza's for the mx-3, about 1.5 years ago i tried very hard to get them made for the mx-3. well nothing worked out. i think altezza's would be cool but if i had to choose, i'd say the supra's.
in addition, when we were trying to get them made, altezza's were relatively new. now, i agree that they are becoming old, or "played out", because i see them everywhere.
think about it, if you see clear tails you have to admit that it looks quite played out. that's how i'm beginning to feel about the altezzas.

To be quite honest I liked the very first clears made the "illegal" ones the best. You can't find them in any stores anywhere and knowone has them anymore. And i really dont know anybody that was ever pulled over for having them, illigal or not ide rock em if they made um. Altezzas are too common especially when cars come stock with them. The all red altezzas arent too bad though.
