Accessory colors for MX-3 SE???
What are the best accessory colors for the MX-3 SE (Raspberry Metallic)? I don't know that neon green would be a good accessory color (racing stripes and the like) but what would be a good accessory color besides the usual white? Give me your input, i appreciate it!!!!!

------------------
thanks,
-=*Heather*=-
'93 Mazda MX-3 Special Edition

I have a 94 black MX3 with neon green euro stripes, and side markers, and I have had several compliments.

I guess it is all personal preferance. I have had tons of compliments. Now that I think about it is difficult to purchase some accessories in neon green.

Re: Accessory colors for MX-3 SE???
I was just joking about the neon green accessories. I know red would just look awful since my car is going to still be more or less purple after i get it repainted. But i don't just want the obligatory white racing stripes... would blue be hard to read on my paint? what about the interior? everything inside my car is black (black leather seats) except the headliner. My car club wants to customize my dash, but what color?
------------------
thanks,
-=*Heather*=-
'93 Mazda MX-3 Special Edition

I actually have a racing strip on my SE, its black and look really good with the rasberry. People say it take most of the gurly look away from the "pink" but i'm doing the interer highlighs in rasberry.
------------------
Thanks,
Teri
'93 MX-3 SE

I just noticed that you have a raspberry colored car. You are right green would look horrible. You can find a great deal of accessories in black and it shows less flaws (stains, wear and tear, etc,...)over time than most other colors. And black always looks nice. If you are going to get graphics on your car, you might look into vinyl graphics. That is I you are completely unsure. I have had vinyl stripes on my black car for two years and they are just now starting to peal a little. I am glad that I got vinyl, because I decided to go with a more original design. Therefore I am having it painted next week. Depending on where you go you can have vinyl printed and installed for around 100.00. It is an inexpensive way to temporarily dress up the car and if done correctly you can hardly tell that it is vinyl. Sorry about the novel, just though I’d share the input.
no, thanks for the input, frogchick! do any of the vinyl designs on www.stickercity.com look good? i'm thinking about that black idea now. it might even make my little pink car look aggressive! What about black and silver graphics? like, silver stripes and black decals. and how would these look w/new rims?
------------------
thanks,
-=*Heather*=-
'93 Mazda MX-3 Special Edition

That should look great. If it turns out you do not like it you can always peel it off. Like I said I have had mine for over two years and even after all that time my paint has not faded and after peeling the vinyl off you could not tell it was ever there. Make sure that you keep your paint waxed. I hand wax and buff mine at least once a year. Mostly right before summer and before the HOT Texas heat sets in.
If you do decide to go with vinyl, make sure that you go to a reputable company who will put them on for you. Mine took about four hours to place. You want to make sure that it is straight and you want to make sure that the vinyl is of good quality. Also make sure that they wipe the area down with alcohol so that the adhesive will last longer. Keep all that in mind when deciding. Vinyl is a great TEMPORARY graphic. I am now peeling mine off it repaint the car after a minor finder bender last Friday night.
