I may have made my life miserable. while trying to find out why my car was sputtering i had messed with a few things one being the screw atop of my tb and now I don't know where it is supposed to be set to. Does anyone here know the factory setting for this? help please...

There is no factory position for the screw. You screw it in or out until your idle is around 700 RPM. That's all it's for.

before messing with the idle you should always be in the diagnostic mode. That is, Jumpering the ten and grnd pin in the diagnostic black box.
That applies to the TPS and both idle control screws. If you don't use a jumper you will only wind up pulling your hairs out wondering whats going on.
I have read that 3 1/2 turns out after bottoming
that screw is the normal starting point.
