Drive Shaft _ Driver Side

Post by Matrix733 »

93 MX3 1.8l V6

This part of the driver side driveshaft is stuck in the transmission case.

<img src="http://img117.exs.cx/img117/3638/DSC01106.jpg" alt=" - " />

I have the grease and clips to put it back on as there is nothing wrong with the joints or boot but when i was removing the shaft, the boot pulled away from the part pictured above.

I use pry bars, ball joint separater and it still won't budge or maybe am doing something wrong or not prying hard enough.

Since am just reassembling the joints to put back in the transmission case anyway, can i just clean the old grease out, apply the new grease and clips and attach it to the part thats stuck in the trasmission without trying to remove it.

the other side looks like this

and am just waiting on the dealer to get the clips i ordered so i can put the passenger side in.

any help and or suggestion would be welcome.Thanks.

They're fine in the pic. Just make sure you sick something in one side to keep it from rotating around.
