could your ebrake be stuck? Not the lever, but the part on your back wheel. Mine was, had to replace it and it costed like 300 bucks...

is mazda equipped with proportioning valve? could be misadjusted proportioning valve.

Maybe you need to remove the caliper and free it off.
Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
Extra thick soundproofing in the boot (trunk) to quieten my stainless steel exhaust system :)

The rotor will rust and it probably rusted to the pad and just needed to be freed up.
