Buying probe motor
hey i can get a probe gt that was wrecked in the back when it still ran perfect. the guy told me he would give it to me for $300. is there any reason for me not to get it if i plan to do a full rebuild. how much power can i get out of the probe engine?

You can get as much power of of a KLDE as a KLZE. New intake cams and Millenia intake manifold with phenolic spacers should put you right there.

Re: Buying probe motor
I wouldnt go that far. The ZE still has bigger ports in the head and 10:1 compression.Originally posted by lakersfan1:

Re: Buying probe motor
Yes, it does. But a heavily modded KLDE can get to stock KLZE levels still. Now if you did the same mods to a KLZE as a KLDE, the KLZE would definitely make more power. Just saying 200 HP at the crank is doable on the lesser engine.Originally posted by TsiMiata:
