1. Same as the 1.8L. (Sorry, don't know what that is.)

2. There are some pretty detailed posts on here about ECU/VAF combinations. Basically, use the following ECU/VAF combos:

MX-3 ecu/KL-DE VAF (from mx6, 626, or probe gt)
KL-ZE ecu/MX-3 VAF
KL-DE ecu/?????
MX-3 with auto, use MX-3 ecu and KL-DE VAF. (Not a good idea!)

71 - 76 ft-lb

Tighten in 3 steps in this order:

12 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 9 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 4 o'clock, 10 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 7 o'clock.
Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
Extra thick soundproofing in the boot (trunk) to quieten my stainless steel exhaust system :)

Well, I pulled that info from memory, so maybe I got the combination wrong (but I don't think so). I haven't heard of problems using ZE ecu and 1.8 VAF. My current setup is 1.8 ecu and 2.5 VAF, so I can't say for sure about the ZE ecu.
Someone check my info above to be sure I am correct.
