help finding topic on Kers. engine flush
in the last month some posted a topic to flush the engine to clean out the crap out of the egine and stop the ticking. I did a seach , but i dont know what its under. can sone please post the linkl.

If you search on "kerosene" its the first topic it finds, but when you click it, it returns "you are requesting a topic which does not exist".

add a quart of transmission oil instead of regular oil on next change it should take care of hla noise

Another option might be trying the stuff at www.auto-rx.com
It's pricey, but is supposed to be less harmeful. It's basically just a metal cleaner from what I can tell. I just added mine. Supposed to run 1000 miles, then run another 1000 miles on non-synthetic to finish the flush. I'll let y'all know if it does anything worthwhile.....because the kerosene flush thing really didn't do anything.
If you really want to try the kerosene thing, look in your auto parts store for something called '5 minute flush' or somethign like that. That's basically a kerosene. Not sure if it's 100% kerosene, but I know it's at least part kerosene.
