Which coolant line? I swapped my KLZE in and I don't remember any coolant line left over.

Re: KLZE swap coolant line question.
Dont worry about it, we capped it off.
Re: KLZE swap coolant line question.
i plugged that exact same one up 15,000km ago when I did my swap and everything seems ok. I never did figure out what it or where it went - my best guess is that it went back into the radiator?
Re: KLZE swap coolant line question.
dang it! i wish i had a camera. i have one of those sticking out from my radiator next to the cap thats on the actual radiator. i saw it yesterday. its just hanging open there. it looks exactly like that one. what do i do with it?

Re: KLZE swap coolant line question.
I know everyone has been wondering, "Who's that mysterious man with the gloved hand?" Well, I'm sorry that barry left you hanging there, but it's MY hand! Yes, that greasy gloved hand belongs to none other than Memphis' only MX-3 importer...(6 and counting...)
FWIW, that car is an MX-6 that used to have a kl-de and an automatic tranny... it's about to roll out of barry's garage with a ZE and manual tranny (from my wrecked 4th mx3) whenever i figure out why the vacuum solenoids arent working and resolve a high idle and power steering leak.
We capped off that line (my head started throbbing when i couldnt figure out where the line went), and so far so good.. we ran the car about 20 minutes last night with no leak or cooling issues.
Steed dood, the outlet on your radiator goes to the line that runs to the coolant overflow jug... when your coolant gets warm, it expands, taking up more room than the cooling system has, so it has to 'overflow' into the jug to keep from losing coolant. if you dont have a hose between the radiator and the overflow jug, then get one.

Re: KLZE swap coolant line question.
I know the issue is resolved, but I may have some information on that line. I believe KLZE equipped vehicles came in automatic transmission only, well that may be some sort of transmission cooling line.

Re: KLZE swap coolant line question.
I remember thinking when I did my swap 'is where is the return pipe to this one ?' I filled up the rad. full of water and sure enough water came out of this one pipe but nowhere else so that gave me some confidence that it was a cooling line for as you say the auto box and it could be safely capped off.

Re: KLZE swap coolant line question.
to me that line seems like it would be a perfect pace to hook up a water cooled turbo line ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: KLZE swap coolant line question.
yes, it has to do with the auto tranny.
This is a cooling line for the tranny.
Tap it off
Don't need it
