Very nice start, is that cold air made out of pvc pipe? interrior looks very clean, check out my page and give me some feed back, and i got two simple MODS for headlights and tail lights, shoot me some feed back http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/453200

Nice intake, but did you know that when designing an intake for a car there are physics that do into the design. They don’t just whip together some PVC and call it a day. I might rethink your PVC design and get a real one. Otherwise, welcome to the board and keep tuning your mx-3.

There is nothing wrong with PVC, might even be better since it doesnt retain heat as bad as metal. The only thing is those sharp bends dont flow well. The smoother the bends the better the flow "most of the time".

- ZE, Mike seli 214 intake cams, Ported n polished heads, Interprep valve springs, DE retainers, rebuilt bottom end, toga main and rod bearings, toga hv oil pump, CZT 67mm tb, mbx udp, ported intake mani, SS headers, 2.5inch full exhaust, racingbeat muffler, highflow cat, megasquirt v2.

new toy, 86 TII rx7, JDM S5 motor/turbo, + alot of other goodies

try to get one with less bends in it. bends hinder air flow. hindering airflow reduces performance. looks good lower it

I think pressure loss through those bends will be trivial. What would have a larger effect would be any roughnesses at the joints, which would increase turbulence.

If you really want to optimise, make sure any rough edges from the moulding are rubbed down.
Re-shaped and re-sized gearshift lever. Best driveability mod you can do!
Extra thick soundproofing in the boot (trunk) to quieten my stainless steel exhaust system :)
