Re: could someone identify this please?
thats def not the water pump. water pump is on the lower half of the front of the block. that looks like u r refering to the engine mount.

The black thing below those hoses could be the engine mount. The water pump is in that area also. Check the online shop manual for more detailed information, chapter B2.

It is hard to see were you point at.
Do you mean between the hoses ?
David is right, on that point is also a engine mount.
and the waterpump is realy close.
On the sight of the engine where you marked the hose there you find the waterpump
Btw: do you have airco on your car?
check this link: http://206.47.151.194/webpage/mx6_specs.html
[ March 15, 2003: Message edited by: leiden ]
[ March 15, 2003: Message edited by: leiden ]
[ March 15, 2003: Message edited by: leiden ]

Okay using your link....
what is this green thing? I made it green because there seems to be a good amount of coolant over it....maybe a leak in the hose, or if its the water pump....

Re: could someone identify this please?
Green thing is your motor mount. If there's coolant on it, that means the seals in your water pump have failed. Time to replace the pump with a remanufactured one, which usually runs around $50USD.
