Car broken into. Help!

Last night, someone broke into my car and stole my stereo. They also broke my passenger window. Before they broke the window, it looks like they tried to pry out the door handle on the drivers door. The metal at the seam of the door handle insert is now bent downward. My question is, If I take off the inside door panel and then pull back the plastic barrier to try to form the metal up, when I put the plastic back on, will it seal properly or is there a special adhesive that I should use? All suggestions would be appreciated and welcomed. Jenn03

Hey i know how you feel. 2 weeks ago someone broke into my car at work. Smashed my passenger window, stole my stereo. Its such a pain in the *** with the insurance companies. As far as the problem i really have no clue, just sympathizing with you. Best of luck!
