Using a ohm meter and checking the resistance on the first two wires on the airflow connector you get 1.2k ohms and thats when the engine is cold as it warms up the resistance changes letting the ECU knows that the car is taking hot air. A lot of you buy after market intakes so you can have colder air. No matter if its taking in cold air with After Market Intake. Does the IAT sensor knows its cold air when the unit itself is in the engine compartment where its hot. This mod I think would work cause its always giving a cold air reading. Cold air is what we want. This resistor is making sure the ECU knows its cold air. Correct me if im wrong.....
