valve covers

are valve covers enerchangable between k8's and kl's? I'm getting a kl and the ones out of probes seem to be the cheapest and easiest to find but i don't want to see "FORD" every time i open the hood.

has anyone powder coated their valve covers? how did it turn out? did it look good? did the heat discolor them?
