Re: RPM's
Ive gone up to 8000 rpms many times are engines are built to take it... not every day but they take red line very well. Even in an old sport compact car there was an article on an mx-3 gs and it quoted ... with pistons happily spinning beyond 7000 rpms...
just keep the oil changes up and love your engine maintain it and it will take those really high rpms such as 8000.

Thanks Guys.........just wanted to make sure everything was ok
Better to slow down a little on wet roads or else this is what you get http://www.wreckedexotics.com/other/other247.shtml I miss my car .........but it'll be back soon!
Re: RPM's
You can buy devices to eliminate the rev limiter, but since our engine go so high I don't know why you'd need one.

Re: RPM's
mine spin freely to 8000 and i havnt messed with the rev limiter, its really not that important to go that high in revs. I only go over redline occasionally because i have 2.5 inch full exhaust and high flow cat so my hp's come from the high rpms. Its usually faster to shift before redline
