engine gasping?

engine gasping?

The idle of my car is totally fine...expect for when i run my car alot during a specific day. It starts to rev up and down by itself and continue's to unless i give it a lil gas.<BR>The wierd thing is it never does it when i start my car....it just does it when the engine is running for a long period of time.<BR>aNy iDeaS???

I would start by checking for cracks in the <BR>flexable intake tubing. Might be time to clean the throttle body. check the linkage for the accelerator and make sure its moving freely. I work in boca so maybe we could meet for lunch. Hey cool, not only two other Floridians but two other South East Floridians. What a small MX-3 world. Just when I was beginning to think that most people here were in Cali and Canada.
