You can get them no problem. However, you will get a ticket if a cop decides to be picky...

HIDs are the real thing, they can be white or blue or purple (BMWs i think). Anyway you can find those at any perfornace site try optauto.com, those they are $400-500 and you lose your high beams. I recommend getting a good pair of PIAAs or Sylvania Silverstars, they are hyper whites, and much brighter than stock. If you want the blue you can buy the cheap ones, but they won't last long.

I've had the blue Eurolite Fusions for over two years now and they look great. You don't have to spend $500 for the BMW wannabees. The Eurolites arent the cheap painted ones and they use the same technology as the expensive bulbs which are filled with xenon gas and dont glow blue like the painted christmas light. They are a nice blue, purple, or superwhite from far away and ease down on the eyes as they get closer. Nice ;)

HIDs are not a waste of money. And your lights are not the same as them. Otherwise you would have a ballast and VERY expensive bulbs.
