i have a 93 rs right now but going to get a gs and after i get it i will have around $5000 canadian to spend on the car<BR>i don't really care bout looks right now<BR>i just want hp<BR>so how can i spend $5000(canadian) on my engine<BR>i want a turbo and the kl-03 or kl-ze<BR>what can you suggest? <BR>and you can go over $5000 if you want, i can always take a loan<BR>thanks<BR>marlon

MARLON, check out the post "highly recomend 2.5L swap" in the V6 forum.<BR>Since you have a 4 cyl it might cost a little more for the engin swap. Id say around $3,000 can, but dont quote me. Check out A-Spec's web site in the links section.<BR>$2,000 canadian should get you a turbo installed but again dont quote me on that either. With that you shoud be pushing at least 250+ HP with a "ZE" type engine, and about 225+ HP with a regular 2.5L.<BR>A Spec is located in Toronto if you needed to know.

Yes it is true.<BR>and besides, the KLO3 is widely available.<BR>Funny though, isnt the name of the game torque anyways? Dont they have the same 170 rating?

yes, turbos like lower compression, but if you're starting from higher HP anyway, what should it matter? if i had the money, i'd turbo a ZE over the domestic engine. why add 60hp to an engine making 160 when you can add 60 hp to one making 197hp?
