Transmission UPGRADE
Transmission UPGRADE
I think I have the oldest mx3 here as it is from 17/9-91,
, anyway I have had it for about 3 month now and being used to drive very fast motorcycles, I have just ordered my new KL_ZE engine and wont stop there and here comes the IF:
Allthrough I shift the engine it wont give me more topspeed whith the old transmission, so is there ANYTHING that fits, I would see about 240-50 km per hour as acceptabel, thanks everybody for all the info here, I love my MX3 anyway.

What the hell is a type-r mx-3??
------------------
~'94 GS
Re: Transmission UPGRADE
To repeat the issue here:
Is there an TRANSMISSION that fits the MX3 and takes advantage of the ekstra HP when you put in an 2.5L (KL_ZE + chip + clutch + airintake), regarding higher topspeed without blasting the engine to pieces ???

Re: Transmission UPGRADE
You could get a gearbox from an Escort GT or Mazda Capella wagon, which have the same gears except for a taller final gearing, though it wont allow 200mph @ 7000RPM unless you get some considerably taller tires.
------------------
David Coleman- Moderator
1993 Mazda MX-3 GS Special Edition
Wu Name
