Heater completely dead.

Post by Wirespeed »

My heater has completely died, no air coming through at all.
I thought it may have been the fuse but the only one that could be it (to the right of the drivers foot well) appears to be a strange black fuse with a sort of trip switch inside??? I can't find the normal 30amp fuse as it says on the fuse cover diagram.
Can anyone help?
I'm from Newcastle, England and it's a bit on the cold side at the moment. :(
Cheers
(1992 V6)

A circuit breaker possibly? Try flipping the switch back and forth a couple times. If that little trip switch is in fact a tripped breaker it will snap easily one way, and have resistance then snap the other way. Click it the easy way first (Off) then back (on) and give it a shot. If it trips again instantly after you turn the heat on then it's definately a breaker, and it's feeding a dead short.
