im thinking aboput buying the alpine type r subs and with a lanzar 1000 watt amp is that amp any good anyone got experience with it thanks and would you think that set up would sound good thanks

the amp is nice. Its better than many ppl give it credit for.<p>And Type R's aren't bad either. I've heard some sound good.

yeah they are alright had one pushing a audiobahn flame compression sub that does 1500 watts RMS and i had a lanzar 1200 watt amp running it, it pounded, i mean it's not rockford material but they are nice

I had a lanzar vibe pushing 2 12" ppi's and they pounded. The amp will hold its ground.

Check out my cardomainpage. I am using Lanzar optidrive amps to run my whole system including a Lanzar EQ and crossover. The amp running my subs is only rated for 2x50watts rms and it is running the subs with a 2.67 ohm load and I hit a 141.0 and one competition last year and that was with the gains almost at 0 and the sub control on -3, volume at 55(goes to 80). I really like the optidrive amps and recommend them highly. Good luck.<p>Jeff
