CD player problem

ok well some kid ran in the middle of the road and i had to slam on the brakes which caused my soda to spill and it fried out my Blaupunkt deck so anyway i got a cheap Jensen, the El Kameleon knock off, and we got it in but everytime i put a CD in it says ER-04 and wont play. Also the radio signal is coming in really crappy and the sound is horribleit really distorted and when i tirn it up the left speaker cuts out. Now the speakers are all brand new and worked great w/ my Blau. so can anyone help me w/ this? any ideas whats wrong?<p>thanks,

Did you make sure to connect the ground wire? Decks can do funny things when they are not grounded. If I were you I'd take it back-you can find a lower end Blaupunkt deck for like $100 online if you look around.
