Subs keep blowing fuses?

Post by Q187 »

I have 2 12" Rockford subs with a 600WT amp. I had it installed at Best Buy and it worked fine, hit hard with no problems. I took it out for weight purposes then put it back in. Now everytime it gets half-way loud, a fuse blows. It's done it about 4 times now in the last few days? Any idea what's causing it? I must have hook it back up wrong but I can't see any problems with it. <P>Thanks.

are you using the same wires? Are you using the same ground point? Try changing to a highter rated fuse?

WOAH!!! 15 amp for a 600 watt amp? that ain't right bro. look at what fuses are built into the amp, total them up, and stick that (or slightly lower) in the fuseholder under the hood

You should probably be running a 25-30 amp fuse with that setup. Try switching
