if they're rated really low db, thats bad, especially when the rms is that high. how much are they? cuz the price can usually give you a good indication of quality. subs or amps that are rated really high rms but are cheap usually suck s---. ones that are rated low rms but are more expensive usually give you more than what you asked for. just ask one of the guys in the store what his opinion is.
Re: need help!!!
well theyre ma audio and all of there woofers have a very lo0w db rating. price for the subs are around $250 and the amp is around $550 for the amp. so maybe go with audiobahn flame subs?

Re: need help!!!
Only take the sensitivity (db) rating on the sub with a grain of salt. From some research I have learned that this rating is overated and doesn't matter that much when your lookin at buying a sub.

Re: need help!!!
the dB is (I think)measured by 1 watt from 1 meter... so its not importnat
Also, MA Audio is not my fav. brand, and for the money they make you pay, you can get better

Re: need help!!!
87 dB is pretty low, youl have to run 4 times more power to get the same loudness as a 97 dB speaker. Since you've got a partial sponsership, maybe you can test a bunch of speakers to find the loudest ones. (Use a watt meter to account for impedance variations). Sensitivity can vary quite a bit, even in speakers manufactured consecutivly.
If you double the loudness that's adding 6 dB of Sound Pressure.
If you double the power that's adding 3 dB of Sound Pressure.
HTH tk1138
