paging alarms

Post by mxer4eva »

Hey I was wondering if any of you guys out there had a paging alarm with a 5spd mx-3.I was looking into one and they guy at my local car alarm place was like the only way u can get this is if you get a remote starter for the car. He said he wouldnt recommend it because of that fact. Personally i think the guy doesnt know what he is talking about. So any help would be greatly appericated

Just to let you know there are many different types of pager alarms out on the market currently. There are ones where you carry a seperate pager and there are ones where your remote has a picture of a car on the screen. I am currently using the Compustar two way alarm and starter. It is working great for me, and by the way I do drive a 5 speed and the remote starter does work. Your local alarm place is right I really don't recommand the remote starter in a 5 speed, especially if you like putting your car into gear when parked. The other thing about two way alarm systems is range, you get good range in an open field with very little frequency and no trees. Once you are in crowded area with builds your range will decrease by 50%. There are other brands out there that have two way alarms like, power start, magicar, auto page, ultra start and so on. I have installed a few of the magicar alarms for people and they love it. I hope this helps you out a bit.
