Re: BARRY'S MEMBER PAGE ON SOUNDDOMAIN
Well..
Im a Network Administrator at Fedex.
How can I afford it? I save what I can , and I do without what I do not need. I'm only 24 years old, and live on my own. Im not married so there a lil extra cash for me
Having a gf slows down the projects, but I think I can deal with that.
Best way is to do all the work yourself. Every modification I have done myself, and I dont have to pay anyone extra to do it.
It takes a little longer, and I do mess up some, and have to fix it. But its fun and a I learn from my own mistakes. ALWAYS reseach before doing any project. Lots of us that have done it may have some good advice on what to do and what to avoid. Never rush anything. Just because someone feels like they want to paint their interior, doesnt mean you go buy cheap paint, paint it and have it back on in an hour, your results will be less that if you took your time.
Next time you decide to go out to eat, bing your lunch to work. Leftovers baby!
My gf always makes more so I can bring it the next day. 5 or more a day gets expensive.
7 bucks for 5 days = 35 bucks, in a month thats 140 bucks. In 2 months thats
280 bucks
for 280 you can get
: almost a Corksport MS bumper.
: a wing
: Clears all the way around and then some
: a lowering kit
: your windows tinted
: an exhaust system,
: a PRM.
Save save save ....= Mods mods mods

------------------
Barry Clark
Moderator
1995 Mazda Mx-3 RS
Chaste White
barrykclark.com
barrykclark@hotmail.com
[This message has been edited by Custommx3 (edited August 06, 2001).]

Re: BARRY'S MEMBER PAGE ON SOUNDDOMAIN
I have kind of the opposite problem: my bf and I recently broke up, so I'm going to start having to pay for more stuff! No more movies or dinners out for me! I usually pay $3 to $4 a day for lunch, but I only work Mon-Thur. Still, I see your point. And I have this nasty compulsive-shopper addiction. My next credit card bill is going to be over $500, and that's just for one month. I guess it's different for girls though, b/c guys can have a nice car and not be overly handsome, but girls are expected to look gorgeous at the same time that they're knocking people over w/their sweet ride. I really want people to take my car seriously, but I'm too scatterbrained! (Good thing I'm getting a $150 bonus in a week! Subwoofers here I come!)

------------------
thanks,
-=*Heather*=-
'93 Mazda MX-3 Special Edition

Re: BARRY'S MEMBER PAGE ON SOUNDDOMAIN
Hey Bad_ktty02 , I'm glad you liked my install. I really like having a big system, but now my friends are all modifying their engines and exterior. Don't spend too much on a stereo...just do something simple. Or you'll regret spending all that money, like I sometimes do. If I could have all that money back, I'd buy a bumper, side skirts and hood scoop. Something like barry did...Actually Barry's car looks pretty good without the side skirts....

Re: BARRY'S MEMBER PAGE ON SOUNDDOMAIN
Funny thing.... my ex works at a auto audio shop. And knows all the guys at all the shops in the area... therefore, I can't bat my eyelashes and get a great system. They know who I am and wouldn't want to offend my ex. That, therefore, leaves me SOL, especially since my ex's best friend does car paint and detail work and his car club specializes in engine mods, so i'm on my own with this. I don't know if i even want to do anything more for my MX-3, it was kind of something I got into so me and him could have something in common. Now I'm in "I Will Survive" mode and becoming bitter and resourceful.

------------------
thanks,
-=*Heather*=-
'93 Mazda MX-3 Special Edition
