Kurt Cobain

Post by MX3newbie77 »

I was just wondering how many Nirvana fans were out there, today being the 10th anniversary of the death of Kurt Cobain. I know I'm one. All day I've been listening to my Nirvana collection.

yeah, nirvana ruled back then, now they are so-so.

I remember when he first killed himself, there were a few dumbass middle-school and high school kids committed suicide for that reason alone. Pretty retarded if you think about it. "oh no my favorite band's lead singer died! I need to end it now!!" ;) ) :crying: :crying: :crying:

Totally, man. Yeah, you can't replace one of the originators.

hold on i would like to argue, something, i really dont think that nirvanna or anyone in that type of music is going to have a real effect on music, look @ what rapper, & bands nowwa days say they listen too, more of them were influenced by early punk than grunge music

Nirvana single-handedly destroyed "Big-Hair Bands". Cobain was great.

Speaking of great bands of the time, the good ones, you also need to include:

Soundgarden w/ Chris Cornell
Stone Temple Pilots w/ Scott Weiland

As far as "rapper" listing your so-called "old school punk" is classic case of "MTV-itius"

First of all. Forget MTV and forget all these "Pop Rappers" and what they said. Secondly, if they did list any "old school punk" which is nothing like this crap that is out today, it was probably the Ramones or Sex Pistols, and a shout-out at best. They were more interested in NWA, Rakem, Slick Rick, Grandmaste Flash, Public Enemy & ChuckD, RUNdmc...were the first I thought of out of many many.
