Do those things that plug into the lighter and give you HP, 1/4mile, 0-60, and other stuff actually work. I have a friend selling his for $75, are they universal, cuz he has a civic.

Re: CigeretLighter DYNO
i have one.. its fun to test what u get before you go spend some money doin it at the track. and since i work by the airport, theres a hella long straight road next to it to drive on. i plugged in about 2800lbs (adding weight cuz of me and my subs) and got about 110hp with my GS. duno.. could be accurate and something on my car is wrong hahaha.. o yea but my 1/4 mile time was about right. i got mid 16's with the gtec pro at 90mph

Re: CigeretLighter DYNO
the mph on those seem to be off..a mid 16 @ 90?!?!? I got 90 on ONE run, ever. And that was a 15.4 or something like that. I would not trust any times I got on one of those, maybe within a half second, but not 0.1Originally posted by Sam Baker:

Re: CigeretLighter DYNO

(excuse my ignorance)

Re: CigeretLighter DYNO
I know they measure it differently, but that's still off by quite a bit. We've discussed it over at mx6.com, and the difference in the average of 60 ft, and what you're going at the end is NOT more than a couple miles an hour, at most. Even if it was 88, that's still a lot faster than what you would be going during a mid 16 run.Originally posted by Marlon:
