Its not even worth it. I know you'd like to be different, but with a BPT, it's much easier and cheaper.

Re: DVD software?
Id suggest ripping them and convert in into the Matroska container (MKV format). Look for software called Handbrake or Ripbot. I rip all my DVD's to that on my HTPC.

Re: The Newest Addition To My Collection
Gratz , welcome to the MS family .
Suggestion, get the hypertech tuner. I've been working with them on doing some beta testing and have seen first hand what they got out of a stock speed3.
I have the same tune on my car and its deffinatley worth it.

Re: CarPCs - information
I thought so too.. but I asked OBDpros regarding it because my battery died one day after upgrading to the v1.3 ELM chip.
Here was their response
"The power drawn is around 20 ma so yes leaving it plugged in will not cause a battery drain"
Turns out my battery had just kicked the bucket. With a ...

Re: CarPCs - information
Ya, my setup is OBDII+CAN. The gauges will display any information you want and long as it can either be pulled directly from your supported PID's or through a script using a combination of PIDs and formulas.
Unfortunatley, this cant be done with an MX-3. It may be possible with a MSnS or a Haltek.
