Yah klze disty in my opinion is better, The thing is it takes some rewiring to get it to hook up. Im guessing people are just to lazy lol. Also distributor caps are hard to find, and can only be purchased from jdm direct from japan and your not garanteed a good product. But positives, they have a 7...

Honestly man from my experience a retainer will break whenever it wants...is it more likely to break at higher RPMs??....YES, but u can fracture one just punching out and then it break while driving normal. Yes you can use the K8 valvetrain on the KLZE....thats how i have mine and i see 7000+ RPMS ...

K8 are notorious for having this problem around 45000-60000 miles.
Pull the plug right next to the timing belt cover. See what it looks like. If its covered in oil then you know you have a leak. if its to bad. (Like my K8 was) then you will probably have to replace some stuff.

626 Transaxle

I heard you can put a 626 transaxle(5speed) into a MX-3. I plan on doing a KLZE swap in the future, and i was wondering what all transaxles from 626's are compatiable. The junkyard has a ton of them. Would the transaxle off a mid 80's 626 with a 4banger in it work ? or does it have to be out of a KL...

KL-ZE and K8

well im thinkin of swapping my motor. From my understanding KLZE's are notorious for dropping valve's at 7000RPM(Please Correct Me If im Wrong) So my question is. Is he valve train from the K8 inter changeable. Im guessing Vavle size is different. But in the way of springs and retainers. (From what ...

Yep.
Cap aint the problem
only the rotor.
When you buy it i would ask them for a rotor to and check it right there.
Might at well replace cap and rotor at the same time

Makes no difference. Just buy the cheaper one. I know this cause i had to buy a disty. And when i did they claimed it was gonna be a problem. When i asked to get a rotor, they said a price. I was like well arent there different sizes ? Well no we only stock one size. I forget if its bigger or smalle...
