Dont know what year you have - but even on my half obd2 BP - the computer doesnt get any input from the fuel gauge/sensor.
The fuel gauge problem sounds like you might have some other electrical problem(s).
How old is the battery? and how good is the alternator? Any corrosion on the terminals?

The two sensors are solenoids and do not put carb cleaner in them. You can probably find the EGR valve by following a small tube that goes from the exhaust manifold to where it attaches to the IM. Or you can follow where the vaccum lines go from the solenoids (other than the TB or air filter). The v...

If the EGR valve is stuck open due to carbon deposits - the engine wont idle properly and put up EGR codes. The exhaust gases start mixing with intake at idle (not supposed to happen) and make the fuel mix all crazy. You can clean up the EGR valve or replace it or block the EGR pipes so that no exha...

Try this - crank the engine one revolution - stop cranking but leave the ignition on - this will prime the fuel pump for a while - when you hear the fuel pump turn off - try to start again. If it catches on immediately then maybe you have a fuel pump/filter problem... If not - try a tune up - cap, r...

Do you have oil in coolant or coolant in oil issues? What are the compression numbers? If everything else is fine - i would think that you may have a blockage in your cooling system - might help to try a radiator flush and possibly an engine (oil) flush too. Another option - maybe you got a faulty t...

If you want to test if the speaker is still ok - you need to check the resistance of the speaker (OHM setting in the multimeter). It should read about 4 - 8 ohms i think. Basically it reads zero then there is a short and if it reads nothing or really high resistance value (like 10 mega ohms) then th...
