well what i did was, i looked up the CEL input on the ecu.It says pin 1E which is a grey/red stripe wire on the second biggest connnector.So i tap spliced the positive side of the LED to that wire and grounded the LED but nothing happened.Im thinking either its not gunna work,it isnt connected good...

If the hole in the exhaust is close to the o2 sensor - air can mix with the exhaust and mess up the o2 readings. But if this is the problem it should happen mostly when the engine is warm. As far as I know, the only alternative is one from a miata. But with those you have to get the coil pack and find a place for it because it's not all together. Heard it's an upgrade tho because you can mount it away from the motor and keep the coil cooler giving better performance from it. 90-94 pr...

Just checking - is the HEI module grounded properly and does it have a good heat sink. Does it hot get hot when running? If yes - it needs to be grounded properly.
