Holy cow! The Passenger-side CV shaft is quite stuck.
Any ideas? I can reach it with a prybar but only with a ratio of about 2:1 (8" shaft to pivot, 16" pivot to where I can push).
I need more leverage ... or another place to pry from that I can't see. Ideas?

Re: Engine has been sitting, car has been sitting. Let's do it!!
Haha. I hear ya. The original plan was for my brother to drive this thing, but he broke it. Honestly, I had a bit of a feeling he would. But I thought it would still at least be drivable. I didn't figure he would submerge the car and blow up the clutch. It's really cheaper for me, at this point, to ...

Re: Engine has been sitting, car has been sitting. Let's do it!!
Yeah, that's what I'm really planning to do now. I was hoping to keep the $$ a little lower but I have some r/c airplane and car stuff I could probably pull a few hundred bucks from. Normally that funding goes back into my little toys, but I'm going to sprinkle it on this Mazda this time around. Bes...

Re: Engine has been sitting, car has been sitting. Let's do it!!
Yeah. I drive an '02 Ranger with 130,000 miles that's had nothing other than scheduled maintenance done to it, and ball joints. No complaints there. :D Old fords were garbage... My friend has like a 93 mustang and an old Bronco 2, either of which may or may not run that day, and the Mustang has lit ...

Re: Engine has been sitting, car has been sitting. Let's do it!!
Ah yes. Engine Mounts. I was planning either on doing the whole window weld thing or finding some poly inserts or otherwise. Any suggestions on that? Now that I think about it more, I will probably go ahead and get headers before I throw it in there. It'll be easier to modify them if necessary with ...

How massive? ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
That's not super important though. The noise never really bugged me.
I'll just do the seals that I can find. Where are the cam seals? I haven't even looked...

Re: Engine has been sitting, car has been sitting. Let's do it!!
The clutch is less than 10k miles on this setup I'm pretty sure. I got the engine from a friend of mine so I remember most of what he did to it/changed. Heck, I did his distributor when it finally let go. Which eBay headers did you buy? I'm trying to be cheap but also don't want to buy it again. I'm...

Re: Engine has been sitting, car has been sitting. Let's do it!!
I guess I might hold off on the headers then for now. I don't have a welder but I have access to one so that's not a huge concern. I just don't want to cut/weld the headers themselves. It'd be nice if they fit. Moving the cat is not a big deal. It's going to be straight piping anyway. This is going ...

Re: Engine has been sitting, car has been sitting. Let's do it!!
You don't need to use the Probe trans, it's the same as in the Mx-3. Pop open the valve covers anyway to see the condition of the motor Timing belt and waterpump would be highly recommended. But really, the more you can do the better. Headers have fitament issues depending on which one you get, and...

Engine has been sitting, car has been sitting. Let's do it!!
So I have a project. I have a truck to drive on a daily basis so I'm not exactly pressed for time. I have pulled a KL-DE from a Ford Probe GT (1994). I will be using the ECU from that car as well as the VAF and the 5-speed transmission. (My mx-3 is already a 5-speed). Thinking I should probably chan...

Are you still looking? I'm fairly certain I have this piece back there somewhere. It's buried under a bunch of crap though. If you still need it I will check.

Re: [WTB] AC CONDENSER and WATER NECK
I'm currently disassembling my 93 GS and plan to remove the A/C. It was leaking, which is why I don't want it there any more. I'm about 90% sure it's the compressor that was leaking so the condenser should be alright, as well as whatever piping it's attached to. I assume by water neck, you mean part...

lol @ removing the hatch. I would, but I want to keep the car driveable on the street as well. It will probably see the track a couple times a year, but I also want to be able to drive it ~1x per week, especially when it's nice outside. :D Nd4SpdSe, I appreciate the breakdown of parts. I did a quick...
