No real pictures to take, but i got my awr mounts installed yesterday. It took me probably 4 hours all together. Getting to that rear mount with the motor in the car is a complete pain in the butt. All the hassle was worth it though. The car feels so much more solid, like the way it was meant to be....

iac problems

Ever since i went to a 65mm tb it appears my iac isnt working. At first i thought it was just old, and needed a good cleaning. so yesterday i pulled my tb, comletely cleaned the tb and iac. Readjusted my tps, and the whole nine yards. Well still i still have the same problem. On initial cold start t...

I agree with everybody, the k series engines were mazda, not ford. the klde that came in the probe had a nice big ford symbol on the front valve cover and is interchangeable with the front valve cover on the k8. I know this because while rebuilding my klde i put the ford valve cover on my k8 to get ...

If the motor still runs, and doesnt appear to be mixing coolant and oil. I think you could rule out a head gasket. check the coolant to make sure, and also see if you are getting any coolant or oil coming out of your tail pipe while the motor is running. I read your other post, and think you should ...

what diagnostic machine? all you need is a paper clip to check codes. are you getting a check engine light? I would think so with such a problem. Read the v6 faq on how to pull codes. Essentially all you do is jump ten and ground, in the dianostic box that is on the firewall behind the battery. turn...

Hotshot Headers

I bought hotshot headers from a guy off probetalk, and when i went to install them with my swap the y-pipe was off about an inch. When i went to get my exhaust redone with the swap, midas said the y-pipe was made out of aluminum, which i thought was crazy. They said they wouldnt touch it and made me...

You should be able to switch over everything from your k8 and not have any problems. Switch the crank sensor over from the k8, and also switch over the coolant pipe that runs between the two heads because you will get the correct amount of coolant sensors, without having to drill or tap. I like to t...

So the car is randomly dying, and wont start up again for 5 minutes and than will run fine once it does restart? If i understand your problem correctly, that sounds like your disty. Im not sure the common part that fails in the disty, but i think the hei mod is the solution.

If you have good spark and good fuel, that only leaves timing or compression. I doubt you had something fail internally, so im guessing its your timing. Double check to make sure you are not off a tooth, which is extremely easy to do. With the motor out of the car it took me 7 tries to get it perfec...

Comparetively speaking, alot of parts for our cars are relatively cheap. I have a good friend that is heavily into honda stuff, and he nuts his pants every time i tell him how cheap i can get parts.

Its been a while since i updated this thing. The Motor has about 3500 miles on it now and is still running strong. I do have a lifter that ticks now that it is cold out, only on initial start up. I also have an oil leak that im afraid is the rear main seal. Over my semester break from school i will ...

If you check out my post in the 4cyl section, it has an "overheating" problem. Atleast the guage is saying it is overheating, but i know for a fact it isnt. The previous owner has cut the timing belt off to try and get at the water pump. So it wasnt running and the guy wanted it gone since...

My $300 RS

I picked up this RS for $300 bucks. It only has 102k on the motor, and seems to be in very good shape. I bought it in a non running state, and it cost me $40 to get it running. What do you guys think? http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l185/nanowak/DSCN1510.jpg http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l185/...

Yeah i was planning on purchasing a new sending unit and tracing the wire to make sure all is well. There is no way that motor is over heating that quickly.

I dont really see the relevance since its the stock b6 in my rs. Only other info i left out in my previous post is that the coolant sensor right on the thermostat housing has been cut and ran to a toggle switch to manually control when the fan kicks on.
