Re: Finally 10's on 1/4 mile
Congrats Tito
, I'm glad to see you finally got 10s. Still on a KL right? I remember a few years ago when I think you mentioned you were at 11.0 on 25psi looking for tens with your KL.

Re: Has anybody ever tried a second gear launch?
I think Goldmember used to, and a couple others. I always start in 2nd, if there's any downhill slope. With my stiff motor mounts, clutch, and such, first is almost useless. Also, I have 205/ 50/ 15s, so I reach the end of 1st even faster. Let us know how it works!

Re: Shifter and 'third link' rebuild tips
They sell a kit for this at Corksport that was originally made by SRD when Luke was still making parts. http://www.corksport.com/corksport-3rd-link-bushing-kit.html
I got a set of Bronzoils for all three locations in the shifter from SRD way back when and they still worked flawlessly when I sold ...

Can I get my FPR back?
Lol, just kidding! I don't know how to understand what situation one would be in to not be able to enjoy their car, but regardless, good luck with it. Awesome car
Actually bought your FPR or my buddies SC300, he was quite happy to get it.
Thanks for all the compliments ...

FS - The Goldmember - 11 second KL Turbo MX3 - Show Caliber
EDIT: Car is sold, thanks to all who contacted me and showed interest.
I had a buyer worked out privately but he fell thru at the last minute so I'm listing it on the forums for a little while before offering it to the open market.
Everyone knows the car, arguably the nicest MX3 in North ...

Re: Radiator Cap issue
That's odd, I've bought pressure caps at the parts store a million times. The most common brand is Stant. Here's a link to the Stant page. http://www.stant.com/common/part_locator/view_diagram.cfm?id=10227
They usually don't keep them in back, they're just out in the store on the shelf and you buy ...

Can I enter this too. Sponsorship would be quite helpful in the land of Goldmember.

Re: Radiator Cap issue
You could just go to the auto parts store and tell them you need the pressure cap, it's about $7 brand new at the store. I'm guessing your $56 price was from the dealer?

Re: Hates Car Salesmen
Surprised they haven't called you asking about 4wd quad cab turbo diesels. By their rationale, it's a 4 door, turbo, and turns all 4 wheels.

Re: would this be possible (twin turbo kl)
Mardarati on probetalk did a twin turbo KL MX6 close to ten years ago. He still has the setup, originally he used two first gen F2T turbos, not sure what he has now. I believe the setup is on son's car now. He's got a few turbo KLs at the house.

Re: Reassembling valvetrain.
This is an old video on youtube about how to take them apart, but it's pretty detailed and should give you a good idea on how to re assemble as well.

Re: 15 Minutes of Running and then no start for hours
Warm start problems with these cars are often related to the stock ignitor beginning to fail. Research the HEI mod on probetalk for a much cheaper fix than replacing distributors. I can't explain why the car is just shutting off for no reason, but the ignitor is certainly something worth looking ...

Weird, I have eBay hot pipes and mine fit. Had to massage the frame rail a little with a BFH to get a little clearance, but not very much at all. I got my pipes a long time ago so it's possible the new batches are a little different. eBay ...

Re: which style turbo kit?
Understand that the kits you're looking at are made for a Ford Probe. They will bolt up to the engine fine, but the chassis is different. There will be some significant customization to make it fit the MX-3.
And don't shout. It makes you sound stupid.
