I may have a different tranny other then stock on I'm not sure. I'm replacing the little seal for the linkage this week end so I'll look for any markings or numbers on the tranny, because from what I see here, it looks like my car is geared different. I hit 40 in 2nd pretty easy. And as for highways...

I know the local Advance Auto here sells prefab aluminum pipes...maybe check there or Napa. Or just call a shop and buy from them. And yes couplers was the word I was looking for.

If you can weld and all then go for it. Just make sure to measure everything and get all the right connector things (sorry can't think of what they're called).

Yeah thats about 2-3k rpm in fifth going about 70-80. I may have different ratios because the previous owner did work to the tranny but I don't know what.

When you're on the highway, do you short shift or run through the gear? I don't ever have any problems with high rpms on the highway. Usually around 2000 in 5th.

Measure the diameter of the intake tube where you want the cone at and then call the parts store and ask for a cone filter with diameter "whatever". Shouldn't that work? I don't know the number I got stock intake.

I used the great write up by Tunes on cleaning the tb and it took care of my idle problems. I recommend using it. Should be in the FAQs.
