automatic engine in a shifter car

sorry if my english isnt that good, from holland so english is not my main language. i have searched for KLDE, automatic etc but i got so moch answers i dont know where to start, and all i neet to know if it goes or no need a new engine ASAP... old one is really f*cked up and i need to get it moving...

i pulled the codes from my mx3 last sunday, and i got code 5= knocksensor now i have big problems with my ignition, my old one is broken, bought 2 new ones, but those 2 dont spark at all when installed, when i put my old one back he just fires up at once... could the knocksensor screw up my new igni...

the cranksensor is located on the left of the engineblock right? if i am correct, there is a 3pin connector situated just below the fillercap on the hose of the coolant... i found out that my fillercap was leeking, and because of that the plug i just talked about was filled with coolant when i opene...

supposingly lets say its the cranksensor...

why does it fire up at the first time when placing my old ignition?

thats the weird thing...

i already did the hei mod without external coil, but indeed, when this doesnt even work, will that then work?

ok... first of all, if i say something bad in english, i m sorry, because im from holland.. heres the problem.. 4 weeks ago i was driving on the freeway, when going to the exit my tach suddenly dropped to 0 RPM. i have read many stories, and knew this was it.. the ignition failure... 1 minute later ...

its not only for the airintake, but also for cooling the engine...

Very common once these engines get a few miles on them to burn oil. Valve stem seal or rings is likely the culprit. The car can run like that forever though as long as you keep the engine oil topped off. It will cost more the the car is worth to rebuild the engine, but its a good opportunity to swa...

pull it out of the valve cover while the engine is running, if the car stalls, it's bad. Or take it out and shake, if you hear the little ball banging around in there it is good, if you dont hear anything it is clogged. thanx... it rattles, so guess it works then... damn, another theory gone... pro...
